Approaching the Seasons of Life

Believe it or not, we are all in a season in our lives. It could be good or bad but, I encourage you to embrace this season of your life that you're in and maximize it so that you can take your life to the next level. For me personally, as I progress through this current season, it's an exciting and revitalizing time full of new possibilities and new ideas for me. However, I realize that everything will not be easy and I will have to face even more trials and tribulations than I have faced before. The message I want to send is that adversity and hardship will come. Yes, we all will fall and get knocked down, but, the question remains, will you get back up?

I think it's important to note that what you want to become you are already becoming because of the process, which I touched on in my previous post. You may not be necessarily where you want to be in life right now and that's perfectly fine. As most college students do in the summer months, they work part-time jobs to make money for school. I will be completely honest here, there are some mornings that I don't even want to get out of bed to go to my summer job. There are days that I'll get on social media and see others enjoying their time out on the lake or at the beach and sometimes I wish it were me instead of them. However, as I was thinking about what I would say for this post, I discovered that there is a purpose behind the struggle of you and I. It's been said that there has to be darkness in order for a light to shine. I can't think of a more true statement. There's going to be ups and downs but in the end, it's all about who is willing to preserve through tough times. You will find out who you truly are when you are faced with adversity and your character will be developed. You have to be committed to the process in order to get where you want to be in life. You may have to give up free time, parties, friends but that's the way it is when you are chasing greatness.

I challenge you to start changing your perspective and mindset because I believe that's where you will discover your purpose in life. Start embracing the things that you "have" to do as something you "get" to do. You never know what God could do through you if you just change your perspective about the things in this life that you don't necessarily enjoy doing or it could be a pain to deal with, but you do it because you "get" to. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said one time, "everybody can be great, because anyone can serve." Dr. King's quote was true then, and still holds true today. Get a servant hood mindset in your heart. A part of the process is giving to get where you want to go. Instead of asking, "what can this person, or that person do for me, you should ask yourself, what can I do for somebody else?" I started this blog to serve the hearts of other people and spread messages of encouragement and assurance that can impact, change lives and inspire others. It is my prayer that the content I am producing will continue to do just that.

Til next time, More Blessings and More Life to you all
Brandon
